Interlude. ChronoBank

A small St. Petersburg kitchen on a white night: two old laptops and cups on the table, chairs pushed back, rooftops outside.illustration
In Petersburg we talked until morning: computers, webmaster forums, what you could squeeze out of traffic. That is where I first heard about a little startup in Australia.

I met my second wife and the man who brought me into crypto on the same evening, at a party in a beach club on Krestovsky Island. Both of them were called Sasha, which later caused confusion in my phone book. I had just divorced my first wife and was, let’s say, rediscovering bachelor life with all its Petersburg pleasures, including the white powder that I used more often in those years than I should have and that I remember without nostalgia. Sashka became my wife, Sasha Rugaev became my friend.
