Useless Ethereum Token warned honestly that the money would go on electronics, maybe a big TV. In the first day it got more than thirteen thousand dollars.
On July 4, 2017, the most honest token sale in the history of crypto opened online. The project was called Useless Ethereum Token, and its website promised “the world’s first 100% honest ICO.” “No value, no security, no product. Just me and your money, which I’ll spend,” the author explained, adding that he would probably buy electronics with it, or maybe a big TV. In the first twenty-four hours people sent him more than $13,000.
The joke worked because all the other ICOs promised the same thing, just on forty pages and with pictures.
