Put a time in the calendar

The first appointment is thirty minutes by video, free and with no prepayment. Every piece of work I take on starts with one of these. We look at one symptom: how the work moves today, where it stalls and what that costs you a week.

By the end you hear what I would measure first and whether the numbers for treating it are likely to work out. If it does not, I say so and the call ends there. Thirty minutes is too short for a strategy, so the call stays on one process.

One process and one number attached to it: hours a week, the number of people it passes through, or how often it breaks. The number is what turns the call into a diagnosis rather than a conversation.

First you pick what the call is about. There are four topics: a general consultation, AI automation, regulatory immunity (privacy, access and audit around an AI system under GDPR, LGPD or a DPA), and questions about Architect Mode, the one-day intensive in Florianópolis.

Then a day and a time. The calendar shows about three weeks ahead, in your own time zone. Some slots fall at night where you are; they stay on offer so the calendar is not cut in half, and you should take one only if it really suits. Last come a name and an email. Company, phone and a paragraph about what hurts are optional, though the paragraph saves the first minutes of the call.

The confirmation arrives by email with a calendar invite. The joining link comes in the same letter or, when it is not there, separately before the call. The invite carries a reminder half an hour before the start.

The letter also has a link that moves or cancels the appointment, with no account and no reply needed. A cancelled slot goes back into the calendar and the invite is withdrawn from yours.
