Author
Mikhail Savchenko
Writes on this site as Mike Fluff. Consults companies on technology and AI, and writes books.
Mikhail Savchenko works with a business the way a doctor works with a patient: first find where it loses time and money, then build the automation, the agents or the new architecture that fixes the cause, and stay until it runs. The first automated processes usually go live within two to four weeks.
He came to crypto in the summer of 2010. He read a post about Bitcoin on Habr, installed the wallet on his MacBook Pro, mined a hundred coins and later sold them at ten dollars. Afterwards he wrote the architecture of ChronoBank and became its CTO; in the winter of 2016–17 the project raised about $5.4 million in its ICO. The book “Nobody Owns Money” grew out of those years.
He has been building software for many years, lately mostly through machines. In 2024 AI was still suggesting lines while he rewrote a server monolith; by 2025 agents were changing records in a real CRM on their own. What that means for the profession is the subject of “Nobody Writes Code Anymore”. For people who write with language models he published an open-source kit of Claude Code skills with an offline linter that finds the traces of generation in a text.
Under his full name he runs the research site neuralcosmology.com: the Pointer Architecture preprint on galactic rotation curves, essays on consciousness and cosmology, and three more books.

What I learned from a year of vibe coding — and what I'm embarrassed about
A year ago I thought programming wasn't needed anymore. Then I spent a week debugging code the model had generated in fifteen minutes. A personal reckoning.

I built three AI assistants. Two of them would have leaked client data
Three POC builds in six months. Two had no privacy architecture. What would have happened the day they went to production — and the five-question test I now run before letting any AI assistant near a demo.

This week I interviewed ten developers. Didn't hire any of them
Six solved the live-coding task perfectly. Four of those six couldn't explain their own code ten minutes later. How I run interviews now — and why the old filter doesn't filter anymore.

I asked Claude who I was. The answer was wrong
How my own site learned to talk to AI models — and why until then they took me for a marketer from Ireland.
